William Selby, a former Cad Graphics Supervisor of a major engineering company in New York City, and CEO of Media Management joined forces with David Da Jeweler in January of 2008 to debut a exquisite brand partnership DWS Jewelry & Co. as a timepiece retailer and custom jewelry designer. A product of the historic blackout of 1977, from the time that he entered into this world, Will was destined to shine bright like a diamond.
Growing up in Fort Greene projects in Brooklyn, his environment would serve as a learning experience for his future career as a jeweler. Will’s experience in engineering & artist management would lead him down a path of becoming a unique jewelry designer for some of Hip Hops's elite individuals, utilizing a design program called AutoCAD which is the same program used for engineering firms worldwide.
Will's unique career transition and skills sets him apart from all other jewelers within the Diamond District. His natural Brooklyn Hustle and connection to several music artists from his dealings with the music management side of the entertainment industry serves as the gateway to the Hip Hop Community and beyond.
The power union formed between David Da Jeweler and Will paved the way for the development of the company and brand DWS Jewelry & Co. Music artist and celebrities in general have been rapidly gravitating to the unique and popular designs of DWS under the creative direction of Will. Clients have been drawn to the fresh, innovative and unique jewelry designs, putting this newly formed company on the map.
